PHYSICAL THERAPY

Physical therapists provide services to people who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.

The treatment can be lengthy, beginning with a review and evaluation of the patient's condition, then moving to development and implementation of treatment administered on an individual basis and culminating with the patient's return to maximum functional capacity.

The therapist also educates patients and their families regarding the treatment and instructs them on how to carry out any programs prescribed for them to do at home.
